Dr.ALKANANDA SRINIVASAN has been a paediatrician in practice since 2000. She completed her paediatric residency at KILPAUK MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL IN CHENNAI and received her medical degree from DR.MGR MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF TAMIL NADU.
She is board certified in Paediatrics and is a trainee fellow of royal college of Paediatrics, Edinburgh, Scotland.

Personal note

Dr.Alkananda is the grand daughter of PadmaBhushan Dr.Moturi Satyanarayana Rajya Sabha M.P (In office 1952-1966) who was honoured for his contribution in Tamilnadu Public Affairs. She is the daughter of Dr.(Mrs)Rapalli Kasthuri Balaraman renowned Gynaecologist R.K.B Hospitals (1991) Tiruvallur a very revered and respected person among her patients and family. Dr.Alkananda is married to Dr.J.Srinivasan a well known,reputed Arthroscopic Surgeon (Chennai). Her father-in-law Er.(Mr) Cherukuri Jayaraman an Engineer of repute is the Founder of S.P.H Hospitals (1985) Perambur (Chennai) which serves the local population. Growing up among personalities who had integrity and morality has been a blessing she cherishes always. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, travel.
